Spring Harbinger

Rain is falling outside,
Noise I could hear from inside.
I forgot my umbrella at the office,
Grounded and my running late.
Leaves are rustling ,
a shower after this long winter.
Grasses and the roads are wet,
They have been dry and dusty for long.
Freshness has begun and lushness is back.
The parrots are making its flight,
wet and away from the corn fields.
Little droplets sliding down the petals,
of the roses heralding the onset of a spring.
